TLP Alumni Association through Science, Innovation and Technology Committee during the weekend of 20-22 September,2019 organized a three-day workshop “Start from Scratch III Mitrovice”.
Start from Scratch is a three-day workshop that gathered elementary school students from different schools of Mitrovica city and region with the goal of engaging and presenting them with relevant information in the field of Information Technology.
Scratch is a simplified coding language that is used to teach children computer programming basics, where you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations and share them online. Scratch serves as an introduction to Programming for kids at the elementary school level as it is an oversimplified and playful way on programming and creating things with the help of software. As today there are many new professions created in the IT sector, introducing kids to programming in elementary school feeds a family in the near future.
The continuation of the workshop from one city to the other around Kosovo would not be possible without the energy, time, skills, effort and cooperation in voluntary basis from the members of TLP AA-Committee of Science, Innovation and Technology with the support of USAID TLP Citizens Corps and cooperation with Shkolla Digjitale.
LGC structured the promotion of USAID Transformational Leadership Program - Citizens Corps through articles, journals, media and activities.
