“How should we deal with reduction of the number of pupils in our schools?” - Municipality of Kamenica case

TLP AA Committee of Education, Arts and Design together with Committee of Democracy, Governance and Rule of Law organized the “TALK” event on the topic “How should we deal with reduction of the number of pupils in our schools?” - Municipality of Kamenica case.

Based on recent statistics on the falling number of students in Kosovo’s primary- secondary schools, especially in rural areas where migration to urban areas is one of the main reason for reducing the number of pupils, it is necessary to develop a debate and wide coverage of addressing this issue.

Taking into account the recent initiative of the Municipality of Kamenica to undertake reforms at the pre-university level of education, primary- secondary schools, at this TALK event Kamenica case was presented in front of the participants. Invited were participants and decision-makers in the field of education from the municipal and central level, professionals in the field of education, psychologists, sociologists, pedagogues, parents’, representatives of local and international organizations and the media.

The TALK event is a tool used to serve as a platform for a culture of cooperation between the various bodies responsible for managing the education system and to create platforms where decision-makers and all interest groups have access to information and are constantly informed about necessary changes in the education system.

LGC structured the promotion of USAID Transformational Leadership Program - Citizens Corps through articles, journals, media and activities.
