On December 16, 2020 – Professional Women’s Network within the LGC organization, held a meeting with a topic: “Support for women who lost their jobs during the pandemic through the recovery
package.”
As we know, women in Kosovo, who are statistically already in small number and at a disadvantage in the work environment compared to men, have also been hit hard by the pandemic. Therefore the
purpose of the discussion was to support women through specific activities and recovery package, in the circumstances created by the pandemic.
During the discussion, various statistics were presented regarding the impact of the pandemic on women and the challenges they face and were revealed different perspectives regarding the economic recovery package.
The meeting began with a summary of the topic by Laura Kryeziu, Executive Director of LGC, followed by speakers:
1. Albina Berisha, Project Manager, Enhancing Youth Employment, Helvetas
2. Merita Limani, Expert on Gender and Governance Issues
3. Linda Baleta, PR and Communication Manager, PPSE Project, Swisscontact
